I haven’t yet been called upon for an interview
I have been applying for jobs, but I haven’t yet been called upon for an interview. I need your advice please.

Perhaps you are being a little impatient. If you have only applied for a few positions, then you may simply not have been amongst the most suitable candidates, so therefore not called for interview.
You also need to consider that it will take the recruiters several weeks after the closing date to select interviewees and contact them.
But let’s assume you have been applying for a while and have made many applications.
Then maybe you are not applying for the most appropriate positions for you. Are you able to meet the majority of the requirements specified? Do you have the relevant skills, experience and qualifications the recruiters are looking for?
If so, then you must consider whether you have adequately demonstrated in your application that you do have the relevant skills, experience and qualifications they are looking for.
An effective job application process calls for you to thoroughly research the company, and the position, and tailor your application to “tick all their boxes “. You need to carefully review the advertisement, and also the job specification if you can obtain one. Look at their website, speak to anyone you know who works there.
And then review your CV. You should already have a robust CV that showcases you in the best possible light that is the “base “CV for all applications.
But then review and tailor that CV so that it “answers “the requirements of the position you are applying for.
Then write a tailored cover letter, ideally to a named person. Use the letter to make your case that you are a perfect for the job. Your goal at this point is to get to interview.
